The Data Analytics team in the Chief Data Office (CDO) is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist based out of our London office.  

 

The Data Analytics team at Fitch Group reports to the Chief Data Officer and provides strategic advice and support to all of the businesses within the Fitch Group. The team operates globally with presence in London and New York developing and executing solutions to help business units deliver results. This includes analytics to support revenue growth, product innovation, productivity gains and enhancing the reputation of Fitch Group

The team is looking to hire a BI Specialist to help deliver insights, uncover key trends and support our business intelligence platform. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to apply their technical expertise with tools such as Qlik, Alteryx, Power BI etc. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between strategy and the CDO, playing a pivotal role in the future development of strategic projects.

We’ll Count on You To:

  • Collaborating with the business groups to support them in strategic initiatives.
  • Calm and effective communication with non-technical stakeholders (written and verbal).
  • Analyze large data sets from disperse sources, developing conclusions and presenting actionable recommendations to senior management.
  • Be a self-starter with a proficiency in building relationships with stakeholders to effectively capture use cases and requirements for business intelligence solutions.
  • Build out full data ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and design intuitive self-service dashboards with relevant KPIs and insights.
  • Maintain, improve and streamline automated strategic reporting processes using existing technology solutions (Qlik and Alteryx).

 

What You Need to Have:

  • Come from a strong Data Analytics background primarily in the data analytics field.
  • High level of expertise in Qlik and Alteryx.
  • Strong stakeholder management.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience with data engineering preferably with a Financial services company. Must be able to analyze complex datasets.
  • Ability to design backend ETL for data extraction, build data models and maintain existing dashboard libraries.

 

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Demonstrable experience in using data and analytics to drive business change either operationally or commercially.
  • Demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines. 
  • Experience training end users on BI applications, preparing documentation and supporting best practice across the team.
  • Experience in Tableau and Power BI.
  • Rating agency experience or exposure to rating agency data or a Financial Services background would be a plus
  • Having exposure to APIs and an understanding MDM and reference data.
