Role Overview
The Marketing Associate will be an integral part of the Global Events team. Supporting all sectors, in developing high-quality Fitch customer engagement programs that advance the Fitch Group brand through the flawless delivery and execution of events at industry trade shows and conferences as well as Fitch-hosted events.
The role of the Marketing Associate for Fitch Group, reporting into a Director of Events, is to support the current EMEA Events team that manage a portfolio of events both Fitch owned and 3rd party, as well as webinars and virtual events etc. Collaborating with internal and external partners, this role works closely with the existing Events team for the Fitch Group businesses as well as the wider Group Marketing functions to ensure that our events are well promoted, attended, and executed, and that our presence at events is well managed and professional. We are seeking an experienced Marketing Associate with a proven track record.
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Understanding Fitch Group Business Strategies & educate on event best practice.
- Billing reconciliation on a monthly basis, of all corporate credit card charges for the events team card and for individual credit card charges. General invoice handling of the Events department using our accounts system SAP, and logging in Airtable for cross reference.
- Help with planning, organizing and executing event logistics (including site selection, website/invite creation, social media, audio-visual production, branded collaterals and catering) with guidance from Event Managers from initial stages of development, through on-site & conference wrap-up.
- Attending regular meetings along with the Director of Events, marketing team and business relationship managers for the Fitch Ratings businesses to understand short- and long-term objectives across new business and brand.
- Ensure high-quality hybrid and virtual event experiences for speakers and attendees by scheduling planning meetings, doing tech preparation with speakers, and managing the run-of-show in close coordination with stakeholders.
- Maintain the inventory of all promotional giveaways and exhibit materials.
- For in person events, management of event components including budget preparation, site selection, hotel contract negotiation, website/invite creation, social media, audio-visual production, branded collaterals, exhibit shipping, catering and speakers.
- Run satisfaction and feedback survey for business stakeholders.
- Keep up to date with industry measurement trends & ideas.
- Help to maintain Global Event Calendar.
- Help with producing post-event reporting and detailed analysis.
We are seeking an individual able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience within an events team.
- Must be fluent in English. Any other languages an advantage.
- Relevant Event Management assistant experience including multiple event types, webinars, virtual events, round tables etc.
- Must be forward looking, detail oriented, and proactive.
- Ability to work independently.
- Understanding of marketing technology and social platforms. Knowledge of Marketo, registration platforms and ON24 definite plus.
- Experience with SAP a plus.
- Strong competency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
- Proficiency in budget management.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a team player, adaptable to fast-paced, changing environment; with ability to work closely with multiple departments.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Willingness to travel and work outside of business hours up to 25% if needed.
