FAM Latam team is currently seeking an Analyst or Sr. Analyst or Associate Director based out of our Monterrey or Bogota office.

The Funds and Asset Managers (FAM) team is a specialized group, focused on providing in-depth analysis and ratings for investment funds and asset management firms. The team evaluates a wide range of financial products, including mutual funds, ETFs, and private equity funds, assessing their performance, risk management, and overall stability. As a prospective candidate, you will join a team of experienced analysts and industry experts dedicated to delivering high-quality, objective insights that help investors make informed decisions. This role offers the chance to engage with top-tier asset managers, contribute to influential research, and develop your expertise in the financial services sector.

We’ll Count on You To:

  • Perform analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors of companies in the Funds and Asset Management sectors;
  • Maintain / develop financial models and reports;
  • Participate in meetings with investment management teams;
  • Help senior analysts / do and maintain ratings, prepare presentations for rating committees, do research and write reports, do surveillance on existing ratings;

What You Need to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree;
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change;
  • Expertise and proficiency in Excel, including programing macros in VBA;
  • Other programing languages (C++, RStudio, Python, etc.) is a plus;
  • Mutual funds markets and/or pension funds experience a plus;
  • CFA or FRM designation, or candidate, is a plus;
  • Relevant experience, especially coverage or knowledge of investment sectors:
    • Analyst: 3 – 5 years.
    • Sr Analyst: 3 – 5 years.
    • Associate Director: 5 – 10 years.
