Sr Software Developer

CreditSights Technology is seeking a Sr Software Developer based out of our NYC location to help build next generation software products and services for our internal and external customers. This role requires web development with ReactJS/NestJS/Python with close collaboration with internal software development team to implement best practices across all phases of the software development lifecycle.

We’ll Count on You To:

• Design, develop and deploy cloud native container based financial applications
• Developing new user experiences using React JS
• Design, develop REST based API Services using NodeJS/Python
• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
• Optimize components to work seamlessly across different browsers and devices

What You Need to Have:

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent
• Previous Node JS/Python & React JS experience 5+ years required
• In-depth knowledge of Typescript, SCSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
• Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, React Hooks, Redux/MobX/Recoil or other state management frameworks
• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgresSql and MSSQL, Elastic search
• Experience in working with scrum, keeping track of your sprint item in JIRA and completing everything on time.
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems.
• Ability to lead offshore team
• Experience working with multicultural global technology teams in the financial industry
• Exceptionally self-motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

What Would Make You Stand Out:

• Any proficiency with AWS cloud infrastructure
• Experience with NestJS and elastic search/postgresql
• Continuous Learning and Adaptability: Candidate should continuously evolve with new technologies, tools and methodologies
• Pro-active problem-solve

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $175,000 and $200,000. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.  Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch. 

***This is a hybrid role, with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.
