Director, Data Privacy
Fitch Group is currently seeking a Data Privacy Director knowledgeable in EU/UK GDPR and other global privacy regulations.
The Fitch Group Data Privacy Office is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining data privacy policies, procedures, and initiatives across all departments and subsidiaries of the organization. This dynamic team ensures compliance with global data protection regulations fostering a culture of privacy and data protection awareness.

We’ll Count on You To:
Lead team to manage data privacy and resolve issues.
Provide research and recommendations for requests to the Data Privacy Office from Business Units, Compliance, Risk or Legal teams at Fitch.
Report to the Fitch Group Data Privacy Manager to advise the Chief Information Security Officer and Marketing Heads of Fitch Group and its subsidiaries regarding compliance trends as regulations evolve globally.
Manage the vendor/supplier Data Privacy Assessments including data privacy and data protection due diligence, data privacy related contract reviews and amendments, transfer impact assessments (TIA), Data Processing Addendum (DPA).
Risk assess Fitch operations and its policies and procedures, contribute to Data Privacy Coordinator training program, and provide research and tracking for Records of Processing Activity (RoPA) documentation work.
Understand and support Data Breach cases and notifications as well as Data Subject Requests.
Automate manual data privacy processes and streamline for our customers.
What You Need to Have:
Strong understanding and experience with performing assessments according to GDPR
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
Desire to learn compliance with data privacy laws and gain working knowledge of ongoing challenges and case studies related to international data privacy law
Technological experience with assessing Data Privacy transmission and storage mechanism.
Risk assessment experience with AI processing of personal data and sensitive personal data
Experience working with and leading global teams
Some legal background on data privacy with a passion to learn and achieve (5+ years of work experience is expected).
Strong written and oral communication in principal language of English.
What Would Make You Stand Out:
Language skills of other languages a plus.
Medium level of technological expertise for data tracing and new AI technologies.
Experience working in a legal department.
Privacy Certifications or currently studying for these certifications from accredited organizations (e.g. IAPP: CIPP/E/M)
