Model Developer

The Model Development Team (MDT) is currently seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst based out of our London office.

The Model Development Team (MDT) is responsible for building models to facilitate credit rating analysis across Fitch Ratings. It is part of the Analytical Group at Fitch Ratings and has nearly thirty talented modelling specialists located in the UK, US and China. We work very closely with the ratings team to design and develop models applying the relevant rating methodologies rigorously, accurately and efficiently.

We’ll Count on You To:

• Research, design, implement or enhance credit rating models
• Conduct comprehensive model testing
• Prepare model documentation
• Participate other team initiatives such as innovation program, training program and next generation model forum.

What You Need to Have:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a quantitative discipline
• Prior programming experience in Excel/VBA or Python

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey technical modelling concepts
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Self-motivated with ability to manage timelines across multiple projects
• Previous experience and exposure to credit rating analysis or credit modelling a plus
