Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Director level Relationship Manager for the EMEA Investor Development Team, based out of our London office.
About the Team:
This role is within the Investor Development Team (IDT) at Fitch. This global team is tasked with raising the profile of Fitch’s coverage, brand and credit expertise to influential market constituents and encouraging greater investor engagement with Fitch ratings, research, products and services. Some travel for in-person meetings and industry events is required.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- With a particular focus on Leveraged Finance and Infrastructure, you will be responsible for the coverage of a portfolio of key European institutional investors largely based in the UK and Ireland, industry groups and associations as well as industry-specific sectors of focus.
- Provide overall leadership and coordination for your accounts - identify key individuals of strategic importance to the Fitch Group, be the expert on these organizations and their rating agency views and requirements.
- Initiate, develop, broaden and maintain strong relationships through continuous engagement with key decision makers including credit portfolio managers, heads of research and senior analysts.
- Develop outreach plans and execute virtual and in-person investor interactions (individual meetings, roundtables, focus groups, webinars, conferences) with Fitch sector analysts and investors within your portfolio of accounts and industry sectors.
- Solicit and aggregate investor support and feedback for Fitch’s ratings and products.
- Use external feedback, market trends and internal readership data to identify trends and new subject matter and repurpose existing content; work with analytical, business and marketing staff as needed on appropriate format and channels to amplify visibility of Fitch content.
- Identify and develop relationships with industry groups and other market constituents with an eye towards growing visibility opportunities (speaking spots, panelists, etc).
- Maintain and track engagement with Investors through our CRM; provide key data and feedback for internal reporting.
- Ensure your portfolio of investors has access to valued research and to Fitch’s analysts.
- Promote the integration of Fitch’s ratings in investor workflows with a goal of full acceptance, particularly in the non-financial corporates space.
- Coordinate with product sales teams on referrals, subscriptions and onboarding.
You May be a Good Fit if:
- 7-10 years of experience related to debt capital markets, bond research, client relationship development or sales within financial services
- Good understanding of fixed income investment strategies and debt capital market dynamics
- Good understanding of private credit, leveraged loans or project finance a plus
- Excellent written communication skills; ability to synthesize content into cogent messaging; ability to think strategically around optimal format and content channels
- Highly motivated with strong organizational skills
- Team-oriented with the ability to prioritize and execute on assignments for multiple stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort with external client engagement
- Demonstrated ability to create, build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Experience with Salesforce or another CRM database
- Working proficiency with SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
