Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Software Developer - Analyst based out of our London office.
About the Team
The Model Development Team (MDT) is responsible for building models to facilitate credit rating analysis across Fitch Ratings. It is part of the Analytical Group at Fitch Ratings and has nearly thirty talented modelling specialists located in the UK, US, Canada and China. We work very closely with the ratings team to design and develop models applying the relevant rating methodologies rigorously, accurately and efficiently. The team has a strong collaborative and inclusive culture and is very collegial and supportive of its members’ professional development. The team has also been very innovative in designing and developing next generation models and infrastructures.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Design, implement or enhance model infrastructure
- Conduct comprehensive testing and prepare documentation
- Opportunity to get involved in developing selective rating models.
- Gain valuable experience in exploring emerging technologies
- Understand credit ratings process and model governance framework.
You May be a Good Fit if:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or any Engineering discipline
- Solid knowledge in Python or any other object-oriented programming language (e.g., JAVA, C++, C#)
- Good working experience in developing highly scalable, reliable and functional back-end systems
- Excellent quantitative aptitude & problem-solving skills
- Strong team player & great work ethic
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated with ability to manage timelines across multiple projects

- Experience with AWS Managed Cloud
- Experience with front-end development using frameworks like React
