Fitch Ratings’ Core Operations team is currently seeking an Operations Associate based out of our Manchester office.

Core Operations is focused on creating the most efficient operating environment for the analytical teams by bringing consistency and standardization to all operational aspects of the rating process. This position involves working collaboratively with members of the analytical teams, IT and others to ensure that procedures and applications developed to support the process meet the needs of the users and support compliance with the company’s overall business and regulatory requirements.

We’ll Count on You To:

  • Be the first point of call for analysts with system or workflow-related questions.
  • Collaborate with IT and other teams to resolve system-related issues. 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve our current processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Test current system enhancements before release.
  • Encourage and support efficient and compliant best practices.
  • Create support documentation and deliver system training, as needed.
  • Assist with regular and ad hoc operational projects and reporting.

What You Need to Have:

  • Experience managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines, with a strong desire to learn about the ratings and Core Operations processes.
  • A strong customer focus and commitment to providing exceptional client service.
  • Proficiency in Excel.  
  • High levels of self-motivation, as well as excellent time management and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with analytical, IT and operations teams.
  • A quick learner with excellent attention to detail

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • A bachelor’s degree in information systems, finance, economics, or other relevant areas, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working at a global financial services organization
  • Experience working within a support team who is used to handling system queries and solving problems
