Fitch Ratings (Structured Finance) is currently seeking an Associate Director for the Strategic Institutional Accounts Group (SIAG) Business Development/Relationship Manager based out of our New York office.

 

This role will be a member of the recently formed Strategic Institutional Accounts Group.

The group will work in partnership with BRM and IDT across all sectors targeting top asset managers and capital owners with a specific focus on identifying and pursuing revenue generating opportunities across Private Credit (public and private investor arranged transactions) and traditional public transactions across their broader platforms.

We’ll Count on You To:

 

  • Assist the senior team on developing new and enhancing existing relationships with professionals across each of the Strategic Accounts, ultimately leading to new ratings mandates, revenue opportunities and dialogue across the fixed income capital markets.
  • Assist the senior team in coordinating with other BRM colleagues who specialize in the product sectors that are targeted and who are product sector experts; coordinate BRM outreach amongst regional and product teams with target firm personnel and pursuit of opportunities; arrange senior level relationship meetings.
  • Develop a full institutional knowledge of target accounts including business platforms, funds, ratings requirements, strategies, new asset generation, org. charts, key personnel, etc.; keep inventory of all relationship touch points, opportunities reviewed, missed, and completed.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and industry events including mergers and acquisitions of target clients along with other market activity.
  • Actively support Fitch initiatives including Private Credit, promoting Fitch's opinions, criteria, research, and products.
  • Run pipeline and market share reports for strategic insights.
  • Research, develop, and prepare pitch books and marketing materials.

 

What You Need to Have:

 

  • A college degree, preferably in business, finance, or economics.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience preferably capital markets, coverage banker or a rating agency,
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Salesforce.
  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Existing relationships and/or experience with large asset managers, insurance companies and private equity firms.
  • Familiarity with financial data systems like Bloomberg.

FOR NEW YORK : Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $105,000 and $130,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
