Fitch Ratings is seeking an Associate Director to join its Structured Credit group based out of our Toronto office location. 

 

About the Team:


•    A collaborative, team-oriented work environment where excellent communication skills are essential
•    An opportunity to be a lead coverage analyst at a global rating agency
•    A role that aids debt capital markets in making more informed decisions through timely, insightful, and forward-looking rating actions and research

 

How You’ll Make an Impact:


•    Analyze new ratings on Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) using proprietary models
•    Analyze transaction documents focusing on identifying credit risks
•    Prepare and present rating conclusions to the credit committee
•    Draft commentary reports on rating actions to inform market participants
•    Participate as a credit committee member for rating assignments in the Structured Credit sector
•    Contribute to regular and special research publications

 

You May be a Good Fit if:

 

•    You hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, accounting, or economics
•    You have at least 4 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably with a focus on CLOs or Structured Finance
•    You possess strong analytical thinking, a deep intellectual curiosity, and meticulous attention to detail
•    You possess the ability to listen actively and integrate others' perspectives in a consensus-driven environment.
•    You demonstrate a high level of personal responsibility, initiative, and self-management
•    You have a keen interest in capital markets and structured finance
•    You are proficient with the Microsoft Office suite


What Would Make You Stand Out:

 

•    Knowledge of programming languages is a plus but not required 
•    Ability to convey complex subjects clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
