Role Purpose

As a self-employed Insurance Associate contracting with Fitch Learning, we’ll collaborate with you to design and deliver training across a number of relevant programs & academies within insurers, banks, other financial institutions. Courses are delivered in-house and virtually to clients as well as open public courses in various locations.

Role Responsibilities

• You must be confident presenting complex topics, willing and eager to learn with a desire to develop both your classroom skills, both virtual and in-centre, and further your knowledge of the subject matter you will be delivering.
• To review existing course material and assist in the preparation of new training material.
• To have a full understanding of the objectives of the course, the participants and training material.

Role Requirements Essential:

• Extensive insurance market experience within a leading insurance company, bank, or other relevant financial institution with an excellent understanding of a broad range of insurance products, insurance financial statements, insurance regulation, and insurance industry developments.
• Strong holistic understanding of insurance fundamentals is essential, with specialization in areas such as underwriting, claims, insurtech, actuarial and insurance operations being highly desirable.
• Excellent presentation and listening skills.
• Interactive delivery style to ensure full participant engagement.
• Effective communicator with a passion for education.
• Experience in training in a professional environment.
• Passion for delivering learning using a range of methods to calmly and coherently explain complicated concepts in an entertaining and engaging way.
• High levels of professionalism and cultural awareness appropriate to our industry.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $1,700-2,300 USD a day. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.  Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
