CreditSights is seeking a Manager, Application Development who will be responsible for building and expanding CreditSights client facing platforms and internal applications.
This role will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing and developing interactive web platforms, highly scalable APIs and advanced analytical capabilities to meet the critical business needs of CreditSights.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience in building and implementing applications and platforms in Fixed Income and Equity Domains. Extensive financial services experience is a must and any exposure to risk and portfolio analytics is highly desirable. The position demands an innovative, full-stack hands-on technology leader who will help conceptualize ideas and create design and development plans for implementation.

We’ll Count on You To:
- Partner with business stake holders to identify, design, and implement capabilities in core platforms and data with a high level of automation for scalability using messaging API-driven architectures.
- Develop highly interactive UI/UX systems using latest UI frameworks, persistent and in-memory cache that integrates with our core data infrastructure.
- Build cloud native containerized infrastructure to scale platform on-demand.
- Develop systems that deals with high volume and complex financial data.
- Collaborate with peers to create a global application support framework to address production issues on a timely basis.
- Act as a coach /mentor to share knowledge and enable the team members to succeed in a rapidly evolving technology and application environment.
What You Need to Have:
- A bachelor’s degree and 8 to 10 years of solid experience as a product/platform developer for a financial services platform
- A minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience as a full stack developer.
- Required technical skills: JS Frameworks (React a must), Python (a must), SQL (PostgreSQL preferred), NoSQL (Elastic and or any document database preferred), Messaging system (SQS/Kafka), Distributed Data Processing system (Apache Spark), CI/CD pipeline (Azure devops preferred), Restful API (Fast API/Flask preferred), Container technology like docker or AWS Elastic container service.
- Experienced working in Cloud environment (AWS preferred) for development and production.
- Strong understanding of systems architecture, object-oriented design, functional constructs, and distributed architectures
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile preferred)
- Proficiency in using development environments including IDEs, source control systems, unit-testing tools and defect management tools using automated build and deployment (CI/CD) tools.
- Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies.
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- Building highly interactive websites for Financial /Credit Analyst is a plus.
- Knowledge of building portfolio-based analytical systems, market Data & entity data is an added advantage.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $190,000/per annum and $210,000/per annum. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
*This is a hybrid role, with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.
