The Senior Market Research Associate role is housed within the U.S. Structured Credit Business Relationship Management (BRM) group based in New York.  The candidate will be a key member of the team. This role will suit someone who is seeking to develop a career in a front-line relationship management/marketing role.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact:

 

  • Assist in the operations process for Middle Market CLOs by tracking Credit Opinions across various CLO managers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for handling the entry and management of formal manager requests into internal systems (when applicable). Coordinate with Middle Office and Accounting teams to ensure timely billings.
  • Prepare and generate engagement letters and opportunities from Salesforce, as well as create and export Salesforce reports.
  • Collaborate closely with the Middle Office to monitor Credit Opinion timelines, manage documentation, and follow up on necessary actions.
  • Support senior members of the US Structured Credit BRM Team in fostering and maintaining Fitch's internal and external relationships. Work closely with BRM, Analytical, Operations, and Accounting teams.
  • Research, develop, and prepare marketing materials under the guidance of senior team members. This role requires proficiency in creating PowerPoint presentations and independently working with Excel spreadsheets.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, finance, or economics.
  • Self-starter who can understand objectives, work independently, and is highly motivated.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate data, demonstrated through marketing materials.
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with analytical aptitude.
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally.
  • High level of focus on work quality and attention to detail.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

 

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience, knowledge of CLOs or Structured Finance is a plus.

FOR NEW YORK: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $100,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
