Structured Finance – Analyst / Senior Analyst, Asset-Backed Securities
Fitch Ratings is seeking a Credit Analyst to join the Asset-Backed Securities Group in our New York and Chicago office
Fitch Ratings is adding a highly motivated professional to the Asset Backed Securities (ABS) team as an Analyst. The position provides opportunities to grow credit understanding across consumer ABS through monitoring macro trends and impacts to pool and ABS rating performance. The analyst will join a growing team covering consumer sectors such as auto loan and lease, credit cards, and unsecured installment loans.
Successful candidates should demonstrate the ability to develop credit views, have experience analyzing performance trends and have strong communication skills (written and verbal).

We’ll Count on You To:
- Analyze the critical credit, legal and structural elements of ABS transaction structures;
- Contribute to dynamic rating workflows by leading analysis and monitoring a portfolio of ABS transactions;
- Utilize cashflow models to form opinions on future performance;
- Staying abreast of sector trends and communicate your views effectively;
- Lead and/or support sector trend research reports and projects.
What You Need to Have:
- We are looking for a professional with a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Knack for communicating your views (particularly in writing) and ability to analyze large data sets and form conclusions are required.
- Fitch is a team-oriented work environment, so excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as is a strong work-ethic and a results-oriented mindset.
- Finance fundamentals and current views of economic conditions, combined with a willingness and ability to quickly learn new concepts and techniques.

- Direct experience with ABS credit, either buy-side or sell-side is prized;
- Thoughtful views on economic trends in North America and expected impacts to consumer households and credit;

FOR NEW YORK AND CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $110,000. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
