Associate Director/Director, Marketing Ratings - Saudi Arabia

The Marketing team is currently seeking an Associate Director/Director based out of our Riyadh office.
The Associate Director will be an integral part of Fitch Ratings’ global Marketing organization. The Marketing team is responsible for planning and executing fully integrated marketing strategies that create brand differentiation and support Fitch Ratings’ global businesses. The team collaborates closely with stakeholders to understand their business objectives and develop go-to-market programs using an optimal marketing mix. The team covers multiple marketing disciplines, including content and product marketing, marketing analytics, sales enablement, event strategy, advertising and branding, as well as marketing operations.

We’ll Count on You To:
• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance the company’s market presence, focusing on increasing market share and maximizing revenues across Fitch’s key sectors and markets within the UAE and Saudi region.
• Act as the marketing advisor for Fitch Ratings’ Business Relationship Management (BRM) group, collaborating with business partners and advising stakeholders on optimal marketing and communication strategies.
• Lead the planning and management of events, coordinating with internal clients and the Global Events team to implement effective campaigns targeting key contacts and speakers, ensuring high quality attendance and visibility.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team to identify and leverage external speaking engagements and media partnerships, cultivate strong relationships with key media outlets to secure earned content placements, awards and syndication.
• Support Corporate Communications team with media relations for the region
• Work with the digital and social media team to develop and deploy local language social media and digital marketing campaigns.
• Review and create business collateral, ensuring appropriate translation to local languages where needed.
• Partner with Fitch’s analytical specialists to strategically position thought leadership and intellectual capital, ensuring the optimization of premium research content for business development.
• Script and storyboard video content to support country and sector-focused marketing campaigns.
• Coordinate with Fitch Group marketing resources and external vendors to execute large-scale global marketing programs and events.
• Work with the Design team to develop advertising and marketing content for events and campaigns.
• Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and Head of Middle East Business and Relationship Management to oversee and manage marketing budgets, ensuring effective communication with regional offices to maximize the efficiency of marketing expenditures.
• Implement reporting mechanisms to share marketing KPIs with senior leadership, assessing ROI on regional marketing activities and investments.
What You Need to Have:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, ideally within the financial services sector.
• Experience in marketing within UAE and Saudi region, addressing both local and global audiences.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, with proven verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong event management skills, including experience with various event types such as webinars and conferences.
• Demonstrated experience in content development and localization for Middle East markets.
• Experience in media relations, social media and digital marketing strategies.
What Would Make You Stand Out:
• Innovative and proactive in identifying new commercial opportunities and marketing strategies.
• Experience with email marketing and target audience development; familiarity with Marketo and ON24
• Strong project management, communication, content development, and editorial skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
• Capable of working with senior management on strategic marketing while being willing to engage in tactical, hands-on work to ensure success.
