Credit Analyst – Structured Finance – Brazil

 

Fitch Ratings is seeking an Analyst to join its Structured Finance group in São Paulo.

 

The candidate will be responsible for assigning and reviewing ratings on various structured finance transaction types, including ABS and Structured Credit, which involves modeling cash flows, legal documentation review, analyzing collateral, preparing credit committee reports, and communicating credit opinions to investors and issuers.

We’ll Count on You To:

  • Analyzing critical credit, legal and structural elements of Structured Finance transactions.
  • Leading rating committee processes for new and existing transactions and loan servicers in an individual and group basis.
  • Responsible for the surveillance of a selected portfolio of existing transactions.
  • Producing quality internal and external written reports with predetermined frequency including credit committees, criteria, special reports and market commentaries.
  • Supporting research projects for the region in coordination with his/her manager and Asset Heads for Structured Finance Latin America.  
  • Assist and lead virtual and in-person meetings with originators, servicers and arrangers as part of the surveillance of existing ratings and the proposal of new ratings.

What You Need to Have:

  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Quantitative and analytical thinking
  • Attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills (Portuguese and English – mandatory)
  • Working knowledge of cashflow modelling
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering or a business-related field with focus in Finance.
  • 1-2 years of experience in credit analysis or structured finance/securitization

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Previous experience in securitization (FIDC, CRI, CRA)
  • VBA and/or SQL modelling is a plus
