Fitch Solutions’s BMI is currently seeking an Analyst for the Commodities Analysis team focusing on Agricultural Commodities to be based out of our Singapore office.

  • Explore the fast-changing dynamics of the agribusiness sector, amidst the Tech and Green Transition and evolving geopolitical trends
  • Contribute to our award-winning Commodities price forecasts

 

We’ll Count on You To:

Analysis:

  • Be responsible for a large portfolio of key countries and commodities, including taking full ownership of all forecasts and historical data.
  • Help shape thought Leadership for the agribusiness sector, with the guidance of the Head of Commodities Analysis.
  • Help shape product development for the agribusiness sector, discover and implement new areas of coverage.
  • Contributing analytical research on a daily basis primarily through articles, but also through special reports, webinars and client interaction;
  • Help shape our global commodities price strategy, integrating our macroeconomic and financial market views;
  • Collaborating with our country risk, political risk and industry analysts across global offices to ensure holistic, cutting-edge agribusiness analysis;

Commercial Acumen:

  • Being client facing, with the ability to represent the team and deliver views and forecasts in a concise and articulate manner during client engagements as well as at industry events. Be a brand ambassador for our research and company.
  • Being commercially minded and understanding how research and data is used by our clients and forward-thinking in coming up with new ideas of how we could commercialise our content.

 

What You Need to Have:

  • Relevant experience[CF1]  in agribusiness or related industry analysis and research
  • Degree in economics, international relations, agribusiness, finance or related subject matter from a top-tier university.
  • Ability to work with and analyse large data sets, Microsoft Excel skills,
  • Genuine interest in world affairs, international business, emerging markets and financial markets,
  • Fluent English writing style,
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with a global team spread across offices,
  • Attention to detail.
