We’ll Count on You To:          

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to join our Asia Pacific Sales team in Singapore.  This role is crucial in driving the growth engine of our organization through new logo acquisition and cross-selling into existing clients. This individual will bring a "hunter" mindset to identify opportunities in accounts and own the progression of these opportunities through to closed-won.


Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Acquisition:
    • Identify and engage potential clients across industries including Banks, Insurers, Private Wealth, Hedge Funds, and Asset Managers.
    • Develop and implement effective business development strategies to drive revenue growth in greenspace and whitespace areas.
    • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
  • Market Outreach and Strategy:
    • Conduct market outreach programs aligned with strategic initiatives.
    • Collaborate with product and senior management to create a feedback loop on new products and market trends.
  • Sales Process Management:
    • Bring a "hunter" mindset to identify opportunities in accounts.
    • Source leads, follow through on all opportunities, and maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM.
    • Grow relationships with existing clients to continuously uncover new business opportunities across all service lines.
    • Own the progression of opportunities through to closed-won.

What You Need to Have:        

  • 5+ years in customer facing, quota carrying sales, account, or relationship management roles, preferably gained in data, financial vendor or banking, broker/dealer backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of the Asia Pacific financial market landscape, especially how the credit markets work
  • Ability to articulate and promote the value of CreditSights content and products to help our customers solve key business problems.
  • Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding quota targets
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter mentality with a hands-on approach, suited for a growth-phase business.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in another Asian language is desirable and beneficial for communicating with clients in these languages.
  • This role will be based in Singapore with frequent travelling within the Asia Pacific region.
