Fitch Ratings is currently seeking an Associate Director or Director Level Business Relationship Manager based out of our Tokyo office.

About the Team
Fitch Ratings' Business Relationship Management (BRM) division provides tactical marketing and business development management for all Fitch Ratings product groups. The team is responsible for
- Issuer marketing (including sovereign, financial institutions, corporate, structured finance, international public finance and infrastructure finance)
- Banker/Arranger outreach
- Managing the visibility and positioning of Fitch as the rating agency of choice in Japan and Asia
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Work closely with the Tokyo-based Senior Director, BRM to meet revenue budgets and manage existing issuer relationships
- Originate new rating mandates directly from corporate issuers
- Identify rating gaps and new business opportunities in the Japanese corporate space, create and discuss a strategic outreach plan
- Work closely with internal/external counterparts (issuers, bankers, analysts, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of new and existing rating exercises and provide timely support in the preparation of documentation
- Work with the global revenue management team to lead and manage rating contract renewals in a timely manner
- Market Sustainable Fitch's ESG ratings products
- Work closely with business/billing support team to ensure timely billing and receivables management
- Conduct market research and data analysis as needed to develop pitch materials and market share data Track deal flow, new ratings and issuances
- Conduct and/or support various outreach initiatives (conferences, seminars, one-on-one meetings, electronic distribution, analyst meetings, etc.) to enhance Fitch's market visibility
- Provide back-up coverage to the Fitch Tokyo BRM team as required
You May be a Good Fit if:
- At least 7 years or above relevant Marketing or Relationship Management experience in Debt Capital Markets or banking/financial services sectors
- Ability to think strategically and develop and execute marketing plans
- Degree educated with specialization in business, finance and other relevant disciplines would be beneficial
- Exposure to Bloomberg, effective presentation and negotiation skills is advantageous
- Fluency in spoken/ written English and Japanese is compulsory
