Analyst / Senior Analyst – Insurance Ratings – Bogotá
Fitch is seeking an Analyst for the insurance team in Latin America based out of our Bogotá office.

We’ll Count on You To:
- Undertake credit ratings on new rating mandates and monitor existing ratings, adhering to Fitch's criteria and processes, as a Primary or Secondary Analyst;
- Performing analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors, detailed financial modeling;
- Conducting in-depth onsite meetings with senior management of the institutions covered;
- Present companies to credit rating committee and communicate results to management;
- Provide active support to other senior members of the team in data collection, macro/microeconomic research, peer comparisons, internal tools, among other operational tasks;
- Actively participate in rating committees, offering your opinion and insight;
- Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints;
- Publish external research (including issuer reports, special sector reports, presentations);
- Communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively analytical opinion both orally and written to internal and external audiences;
- Closely follow market developments surrounding rated transactions and issuers; taking necessary rating action where required;
- Financial data entry and maintain up-to-date databases/systems;
What You Need to Have:
- Solid Finance, Economics or Business Administration academic and professional background with evident strong credit skills;
- Confident and articulate in communicating with internal/external constituents, with strong business Spanish and English writing skills and oral communication skills;
- Good presentation skills;
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills;
- Understand complex concepts and applying logic to intellectual and practical problems;
- Full command of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point;
- Spanish and English oral and written fluency;
- Deep understanding of macroeconomic variables as well as of financial statements and ratio analysis;
- Resourcefulness in terms of managing challenges associated with data collection and analysis;
- Able to work independently yet contribute to team objectives.
