The job holder is responsible for the national ratings business in Sri Lanka. The job holder in partnership with the majority shareholder focuses on achieving revenue and visibility goals for Fitch Ratings Lanka.
The job holder enhances the visibility of Fitch Ratings Lanka by managing and implementing outreach initiatives such as seminars, conferences, teleconferences and investor roundtable discussions.
The job holder develops relationships with Debt Capital Market issuers, intermediaries, banks and investors for the national ratings business in Sri Lanka with a view to win issuer and debt capital market rating mandates.
Scope of Responsibilities

Maintain existing and develop new relationships with corporate, financial institutions (banks, finance companies, securities and asset management companies), insurance companies and structured finance issuers in Sri Lanka.

Make regular presentations to a wide cross section of market participants regarding Fitch Lanka coverage and credentials. Market to issuers in Sri Lanka to win new mandates.

Develop relationships with key investors in Sri Lanka with a view to obtain feedback and facilitate communication between investors and the analytical teams via one-on-one meetings.

Represent Fitch Lanka at industry forums, regulatory discussions and with media as appropriate, enhancing the company's profile and market standing.

Review fee schedules and pricing, compare with market practice with a view to achieve higher fee levels.

Maintain and update Sri Lanka pitch books, track business pipeline and provide update via month end report.

Plan and present the annual budget for Board approval. Manage resources, both financial and people, within budget, allowing for local laws and regulations. Review progress against budget on a quarterly basis.

Focus on compliance and ensure that the Company and its employees comply with all relevant rules, standards and policies. Maintain the long-term reputation of the Company.

Build a constructive partnership with Board members, establishing clear roles and expectations. Keep the board properly informed at all times, ensuring sufficient, timely information is provided to members to form appropriate judgments/decisions.

Ensure effective internal controls, management information systems and structures are in place to enable the Company to conduct its activities efficiently, effectively, lawfully and ethically.

Manage relationship with minority shareholders.

Experience
We are seeking an individual with substantial experience in the financial services industry with an experience of handling business functions and P&L responsibility, and a solid grasp of the credit markets. Ideally you will have a finance related degree or an MBA with total experience of more than 20 years.
Qualifications & Skills
You will already be managing a successful business, both financially and managerially. You are a respected, recognised leader within your industry. Experience working in an international company is beneficial as is any time spent working overseas.
