About the team
The successful candidate with join a dynamic Finance Transformation team based in London and New York, part of the CFO Group, and will partner with Finance, Technology and Data to identify, assess and deliver AI-enabled solutions across core finance processes.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Identify and assess high-value AI use cases across end-to-end finance processes (e.g., invoice automation, cash application, anomaly detection, forecasting, reconciliation, supplier risk scoring, narrative reporting) and build a prioritized roadmap with business cases, ROI, and risk/controls considerations.
- Lead pilots and proofs of concept, define success metrics and experimental plans, and partner with Tech/Data to implement robust solutions aligned to data requirements, quality standards, and architecture.
- Ensure AI solutions meet regulatory, privacy, and internal control requirements (SOX, IFRS/GAAP implications, vendor risk, model risk), and develop training, playbooks, and change plans to embed AI into daily workflows.
- Act as the bridge between Finance users and technical teams; prepare business cases, demos, and executive updates; establish KPIs and dashboards to measure adoption, accuracy, efficiency gains
- Track market trends and tools; conduct feasibility assessments; evaluate vendors and make build vs. buy recommendations in collaboration with Legal/Compliance and Procurement
You May be a Good Fit if:
- Strong understanding of finance processes and controls across Billing, AR, Reporting, Treasury, Procurement, FP&A; familiarity with ERP ecosystems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Knowledge of machine learning and NLP techniques, model development and MLOps; GenAI (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation, safe deployment patterns.
- Experience with RPA/workflow tools and API integrations; comfort with vendor evaluation and contracting, balancing build vs. buy.
- Degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics) or Finance/Accounting with strong analytics; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- Prior experience in change management and training programs for Finance teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate complex topics into business outcomes.
- Ability to build quick prototypes (e.g., using Python, SQL, Power BI, Excel, RPA, LLM tools) to validate value and usability.
- Experience defining success metrics (cycle-time reduction, accuracy, cost savings, user satisfaction) and benefits tracking.
