About the Team:

  • You will join our UK Apprenticeships function, serving approximately 60 employers across the financial services industry.
  • The Director for Apprenticeships reports to the Managing Director for Europe and leads a team of nine across Quality & Compliance, Operations, and Skills Coaches.
  • The team partners closely with Sales, Faculty, and Compliance to deliver high-quality programmes aligned to apprenticeship standards, professional qualifications, and regulatory expectations.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Lead the Apprenticeships function end-to-end—operational delivery, learner and employer support, quality and curriculum—while driving long-term growth.
  • Build and refine integrated operational processes, systems, controls, and reporting to enable robust performance analysis and forward-looking management information.
  • Manage operational risk through leading indicators and ratios, including ESFA financial testing, ensuring high levels of compliance and timely funding receipt.
  • Own performance management across programmes, meeting and exceeding KPIs (timely success rates, non-starters, referrals, progressions), and continuously improving apprentice and employer feedback scores.
  • Oversee curriculum strategy and delivery, ensuring ambition and effectiveness, and collaborate with the Head of Faculty to embed professional qualifications within apprenticeship standards.
  • Lead quality assurance aligned to the Education Inspection Framework and actively direct responses to Ofsted inspections.
  • Develop and execute a three-year Apprenticeships strategy, supporting commercial growth and influencing the sales process while prioritizing quality and learner outcomes.

You May be a Good Fit if:

  • You have at least 3 years’ experience running an Apprenticeships function at a similar scale, with demonstrable delivery, operational leadership, and input into strategic direction.
  • You’ve successfully delivered change and improvement programmes within Apprenticeships, with measurable outcomes.
  • You have been intrinsically involved in the Ofsted inspection process, such as serving as nominee or deputy nominee.
  • You can evidence working with professional services and/or financial services clients.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience managing subcontracted delivery and/or ESFA relationships.
  • A track record of successfully leading an Ofsted inspection.
  • Commercial leadership experience within an Apprenticeships function.
  • Prior experience delivering Apprenticeships to professional services clients.
