HR for Fitch Learning is currently seeking a HR Advisor based out of our Mark Lane and Canary Wharf office.

Fitch Learning is at an exciting inflection point. Following a recent acquisition and with ambitious growth plans ahead, we're looking for an experienced HR professional to join our team as HR Advisor, partnering directly with our Head of HR for Fitch Learning.

This is a unique opportunity to be a critical member of a small, high-performing HR team supporting circa 300 employees globally. You'll be instrumental in both keeping our HR operations running smoothly and shaping our people agenda during a period of significant change and growth.

This role offers genuine variety and impact. You'll spend your time advising managers on employee relations matters, supporting integration and transformation projects, and ensuring our HR service delivery remains excellent as we scale. If you thrive in dynamic environments where no two days are the same, and you're looking for a role that blends partnering with the business along with hands-on delivery, this could be perfect for you.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

HR Advisory & Employee Relations

  • Act as the primary HR advisor for managers and employees across the global business, providing expert guidance on employee relations matters including performance management, conduct issues, grievances, and absence management
  • Coach and mentor managers through challenging people situations, building their capability and confidence in handling ER matters appropriately
  • Escalate and collaborate with the Head of HR on high-risk or sensitive matters, providing well-researched recommendations
  • Manage occupational health referrals, immigration cases, relocations and complex employee lifecycle matters

Integration & Transformation Projects

  • Support the successful integration of our recent acquisition, which may include harmonization of policies, processes, and cultural integration initiatives
  • Provide support with HR projects that drive the strategic people agenda, including workforce planning, organizational design, talent management initiatives, and employee engagement programs
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of People and Culture strategies, policies, and procedures that support business growth and operational excellence
  • Partner with the Head of HR on strategic priorities, providing research, analysis, and recommendations to inform decision-making

Operational Excellence & Service Delivery

  • Own day-to-day HR operations, ensuring seamless execution of HR processes and lifecycle activities, including recruitment, onboarding, probation management, performance cycles, compensation reviews, talent reviews and offboarding.  Partnering with Talent Acquisition and HRSC teams to ensure high standards are maintained in service delivery for Fitch Learning.
  • Design, document, and implement standardized HR processes and procedures to drive consistency and governance in service delivery across our global operations, creating clear guidance for managers
  • Develop and maintain a suite of HR dashboards and reports, utilizing advanced Excel skills to analyze workforce data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to the Head of HR and leadership team
  • Be the escalation point for the HR Shared Services Centre (HRSC), providing guidance on non-standard requests and ensuring quality of service delivery
  • Proactively use data analysis to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities (e.g., attrition hotspots, absence trends, recruitment bottlenecks) and recommend evidence-based solutions
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and service delivery, implementing solutions that enhance efficiency and employee experience
  • Ensure consistency of approach and all HR activities comply with employment legislation, data protection requirements, and internal governance standards across our global locations

You May be a Good Fit if:

  • Proven HR generalist experience with at least 4-5 years in an HR advisory capacity, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-site or international organization
  • Strong ER capability with experience managing moderate to complex employee relations cases independently with sound judgment and successful outcomes
  • Solid working knowledge of UK employment legislation as a minimum, with experience navigating multi-jurisdictional employment law considerations
  • Strong Excel skills including proficiency with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, data manipulation, and creating meaningful reports and dashboards from raw data
  • Comfortable working with HR data, identifying trends and insights, and translating numbers into business narratives and recommendations
  • Ability to build credibility with managers at all levels, understand business context, and provide commercially-focused HR advice that balances employee advocacy with business needs
  • Self-starter who can work independently, prioritize effectively, and make good decisions with minimal oversight while knowing when to escalate
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence, challenge constructively, and adapt style to audience
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, change, and wearing multiple hats; thrives in entrepreneurial environments rather than needing highly structured processes

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Track record of successfully delivering HR projects from conception to implementation, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent) or working toward qualification
  • Experience in professional services, financial services, or learning/education sector
  • Experience working with HR systems (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors) and extracting/manipulating data for reporting purposes
  • Experience working in or supporting businesses across multiple countries/regions
  • You can see the big picture and connect it to practical execution
  • You don't just identify problems; you bring options and recommendations
  • You enjoy creating order from chaos, building frameworks, and seeing consistent processes adopted across the organization
  • You can take complex HR data and present it in compelling, accessible ways that drive leadership decisions
  • Experience working with diverse, global teams and understanding cultural nuances in people management
  • Ability to hold your own with senior stakeholders while remaining approachable and service-oriented
  • You're energized (not daunted) by the opportunity to build and improve rather than just maintain
  • You can handle competing priorities, shifting demands, and pressure with composure and good humor
