Fitch Ratings a ESG Business Relationship Management team is currently seeking a Market Research Associate based out of our Barcelona or London office. 

About the Team  

This exciting role is based within the Business & Relationship Management (BRM) department reporting to a Senior Director, focusing on ESG business development.

The Market Research Associate position is within the EMEA ESG BRM team, which is responsible for the growth and development of the ESG products portfolio.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Work with senior team members to build clear insights on Fitch’s ESG business performance and competitive positioning
• ESG Rating Operations; reporting, dashboards, metrics, salesforce integration
• Researching and prospecting new ESG targets for the EMEA Team
• Production of marketing pitchbooks plus other materials required for engagement with target issuers and existing issuers
• Assisting with Issuer outreach (including webinars and marketing campaigns)
• Creative idea development for new marketing angles
• Produce summary analysis to aid the business and budget planning processes
• Serve as one of the representatives to manage the Request for Proposal (RfP) process.
• Use data analytics to support group working smarter initiatives
• Identify new market data sources that supports business strategy implementation

You May be a Good Fit if:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Data Analytics
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong presentation capabilities
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (including lookups, index functions, pivot tables, macros, formulas, and shortcuts), with demonstrated experience in data research and analysis
• Strong working knowledge of PowerPoint, with the ability to create clear and compelling presentations
• Familiarity with market data platforms and CRM systems such as Clickview and Salesforce
• Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a consistently high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Self‑motivated and highly organised, with excellent time‑management skills and a strong ability to follow through on tasks
• Capable of working independently to meet deadlines within a strategic framework, while effectively collaborating with and receiving guidance from senior team members

• Knowledge of Python or AI programming
