About the Team
We are looking for a candidate who is qualified, eager, and a self-starter and who thrives when faced with challenging timescales. The candidate should be someone who is looking to develop their skills in fundamental and industry analysis within the Basics Sector, and be a part of an established, dynamic and well-regarded financial services firm. The candidate will also have the ability to make important contributions quickly, while learning fundamental credit analysis.
The position requires the ability to work independently and the ability to be a team player who likes to work collaboratively. We expect the Analyst to build an expertise in credits under coverage through bottom-up fundamental research, and gain / develop an understanding of the Euro Basics sector, with an ability to produce high quality outputs under pressure.
The candidate will be responsible for all tasks related to issuer and sector coverage, including building and maintaining financial models, monitoring multiple news sources for relevant stories and information, maintaining databases, interpreting and analysing financial statements, contributing to fundamental analysis, writing research reports (earnings notes, newsflow, credit events, topical research), and attending and participating in meetings with clients and bond issuers.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Contribute to the fundamental analysis and writing of research reports
- Build and update financial and industry models
- Interpret and analyse financial statements for credit analysis
- Monitor and interpret bond and other capital market movements
- Prepare presentation materials for clients/attend client meetings
- Attend issuer and industry events (e.g. Investor Days)

We will consider any candidate who demonstrates a high level of competence and motivation, preference will be given to candidates possessing the following qualifications:
- Educated to a degree level or equivalent
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Some knowledge of accounting and experience analysing companies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised, with a methodical approach to work and excellent attention to detail

- Experience analysing credit of Euro Basics investments, or other commodity sectors
- Degrees in STEM, Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business
- Proficiency in Bloomberg and FactSet
