Fitch Ratings is currently seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst based out of our New York and Toronto office.
About the Team
The RPA team, part of the Criteria Review and Approval Group (CRAG) reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, is dedicated to ensuring the quality, transparency, and consistency of Fitch’s credit ratings criteria. The RPA team specializes in reviewing and validating historical ratings and default data, and produces key analytical deliverables utilized across Fitch Ratings. The team works closely with Criteria Officers to support robust criteria development and implementation.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Support the publication of Transition and Default Studies and create bespoke reports to meet Fitch’s global regulatory compliance requirements.
- Review and analyze historical ratings transition data across multiple sectors to identify key trends and insights.
- Conduct data analysis to produce targeted ratings performance reports for analytical teams and senior management.
- Collaborate with analysts and cross-functional teams to contribute to external research and publications across all sectors.
- Automate report generation and work processes to enhance efficiency
- Respond to external queries regarding Fitch’s historical ratings data and recent ratings performance publications
You May be a Good Fit if:
- 1–5 years of experience in credit rating analysis, quantitative analysis, or a related financial field
- Strong understanding of finance, accounting, economics, and/or capital markets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail
- Proven analytical abilities and proficiency in Excel and programming
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced, data-driven environment

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $80,000 and $100,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
