Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Director to join its BRM Structured Finance - Investor Development group based out of our New York office.
About the Team:
This role is based within the Business Relationship Management (BRM) group responsible for investor business development and providing tactical and strategic business support to the US Structured Finance (SF) Team. The role reports to the Senior Director responsible for US Structured Finance Investor Development.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Develop and grow Structured Finance business by assisting, developing, and executing marketing strategy across new and existing relationships with SF investors
- Build new, and deepen existing relationships with SF investors to support the growth of the SF rating businesses
- Work with the team to promote Fitch’s capabilities, brand, and investor products, with the goal of increasing SF ratings business and build investor engagement
- Conduct market research, prepare and present marketing messages to external parties, highlighting factors which differentiate Fitch and its published ratings and research from competitors
- Lead and coordinate investor meetings and outreach at Fitch-hosted and third-party investor conferences/events in North America; develop pitch books, marketing case studies, and content for meetings; create and implement outreach plans
- Support the business head on bespoke tactical and strategic projects; role involves some travel, primarily in the US for SF events
You May be a Good Fit if:
- You have 6+ years’ experience in relationship management and account management, ideally within Structured Finance markets
- You have established relationships with Structured Finance investors; relationships with SF syndicate & sales in New York are advantageous; experience with the CMBS market is preferred
- You have a history of being a key contributor to cross-functional initiatives
- You possess excellent English language, communication, marketing, and interpersonal skills, and can effectively communicate at a senior level
- You understand debt capital markets and Structured Finance; previous experience at a credit rating agency is strongly preferred
- You can work independently within a strategic framework, maintain high work standards, and have excellent attention to detail
- You have a university degree, preferably in a business-related discipline

- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and produce/execute marketing plans
- Strong track record of developing commercial relationships
- Ability to synthesize data into insights
- Team-oriented, with ability to build internal and external relationships
- Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and experience with financial data systems such as Bloomberg and Reuters; familiarity with the use of CRM systems is a plus

FOR NEW YORK: Expected base pay rates for the role are between $130,000 and $175,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individual basis and may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related considerations. Base pay is one component of Fitch’s total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch, depending on the position.
