Senior Data Analyst

 

The Fitch Group Chief Data Office (CDO) team is currently seeking a Enterprise Datasets Owner/Senior Data Analyst based out of our New York office. The CDO organization will create the standards and infrastructure around Fitch's data ecosystem so it's higher quality and easier for Fitch's employees and customers to use. We are looking for someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The individual must also have good communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

We’ll Count on You To:

This role will be responsible for implementing short term projects that deliver business value. This individual will also be working with other teams in the CDO and with the business user as well. We will count on you to multi-task and manage communication and management reporting on the team’s behalf.

 

What You Need to Have:

  • Excellent communication skills with some experience in presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Expertise in database (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and querying languages.
  • Experience with Alteryx or similar no-code/low-code ETL tools preferred.
  • Some experience with Python – specifically packages dealing with REST APIs.
  • Experience working with Qlik or other BI tools.
  • Must be motivated to seek out and acquire skills independently without the need for direct guidance or instructions.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Some experience of working in an Agile environment or with Agile teams.
  • Financial services experience a plus.
  • Experience working on decks for management reporting would be a plus.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.  Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
