Analyst or Senior Analyst – Project Finance Model Reviewer – Brazil or Mexico

GIG model management team (GMMT) is currently seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst based out of our Sao Paulo, Rio or Monterrey offices.

The positions advertised relates to the Global Infrastructure and Project Finance Group (GIG).

Global Infrastructure rates over 600 transactions globally covering nine diverse infrastructure sectors highlighted by our Rating Criteria: renewable power, thermal power, seaports, whole business securitization, availability-based projects, airports, toll roads, GARVEE leveraged loans and US sports.

In particular, the position advertised is for a role within GIG Model Management Team (GMMT), which is tasked with overseeing the development of Fitch’s inhouse project finance models and the review of external models used in the rating process of infrastructure and project finance transactions

We’ll Count on You To:

  • The successful candidate will contribute to GIG’s model management process by cooperating with analysts in applying models and tools checks, and other controls procedures
  • The successful candidate will also participate in the Global Infrastructure Group’s ongoing projects to enhance, standardise, automate and customise the existing cash flow model and tool templates
  • The successful candidate will also work closely with the central Model Development Team and Model Validation Group to ensure models and tools are developed and maintained in line with Fitch policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and operational needs

 

What You Need to Have:

  • Degree in quantitative disciplines
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Solid cash flow model build or review / audit experience
  • Knowledge of fundamental project finance credit analysis

 

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Good knowledge of corporate accounting and financial statements
  • VBA and Python knowledge
  • Cash flow modelling or accountancy qualification
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage and prioritise workload
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with a wide range of constituents and build good working relationships
