Fitch LATAM GIG is seeking an Intern based out of our Sao Paulo office.

About the role:

Fitch Ratings is seeking one undergraduate student to work within the Global Infrastructure Group (GIG). The position will provide exposure to the Transportation Sector in Latin America. The person who takes this role is expected to work 30 hours per week and Fitch is willing to work around course schedules for current students. The position is for Fitch's office in Sao Paulo – 3 days per week in the office, 2 days per week home office, to be defined.

 

What We Offer:

  • The Global Infrastructure and Project Finance Group (aka GIG) covers approximately 800 credits primarily across transportation (airports, toll roads, seaports and rail), energy (thermal and renewable power, oil & gas and transmission), social infrastructure, sports facilities and UK whole business securitization.
  • The group comprises approximately 80 analysts, based in Fitch’s offices in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Austin, London, Madrid, Milan, Sao Paulo, Bogota, Monterrey, Mexico City, Hong Kong, Singapore and Sydney.

 

We’ll Count on You To:

  • Collecting, analyzing and comparing operating and market data impacting our portfolio of rated credits
  • Consolidating data for peer tables, sector analysis, special reports, etc.
  • Inputting historical data into Fitch’s internal database 
  • Supporting analysts with committee documentation and credit specific or sector’s research.

 

What You Need to Have:

  • Undergraduate student of Economics or Business Administration, is preferred, coursing the 5th or 6th semester
  • Advanced Level of spoken and written English; Spanish is a plus
  • Thorough familiarity with Excel spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with Financial Analysis and Principles of Financial Accounting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.


What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Some managerial experience is desirable.
  • Solid writing and verbal communication skills in English and Portuguese.  Spanish will be a plus.
