ESG-BRM is currently seeking a Senior Market Research Associate or Associate Director based out of our Singapore office.

About the team:
This exciting role will be part of Business & Relationship Management (BRM) group in APAC, reporting to a Director, focusing on ESG business development. It plays an essential part in collaboration with the Sustainable Fitch (SuF), the dedicated Fitch entity focused on researching and analyzing ESG themes for companies and their debt instruments, and other BRM colleagues to promote ESG products in APAC region.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Strategic Implementation and Growth: Contribute to the execution of Fitch Ratings’ business strategy in the APAC region by closely collaborating with senior business originators to meet KPIs and revenue targets, thus driving growth in ESG Product offerings.
- Opportunity to Drive ESG Solutions: leverage the growing demand for ESG Product solutions across ASEAN markets, actively engaging with local regulators and industry associations to create tailored outreach plans.
- Strategic Leadership in Competitive Markets: Play a pivotal role in enhancing our response times to inquiries, facilitating cross-selling opportunities, and monitoring competitors' strategies to ensure Fitch remains competitive, while managing the Request for Proposal (RfP) process.
- Relationship Building and Expansion: Strengthen and expand Fitch's network by maintaining existing issuer relationships and proactively acquiring new ESG Products clients through strategic outreach and direct marketing efforts.
- Problem Solving: Independently manage complex business requests such as bidding for new ESG mandates and negotiating terms, demonstrating innovative problem-solving skills to enhance Fitch’s competitive edge in the market.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure seamless execution of ESG Products exercises by working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including issuers, bankers and SuF analysts, fostering collaboration that enhances operational efficiency.
- Financial Operation Enhancement: Manage ESG Product contract renewals, provide timely input on ESG-related matters, and work closely with the business/billing support team to ensure timely billing and effective accounts receivable management.
- Market Intelligence and Visibility: Enhance Fitch’s market presence by executing outreach initiatives and tracking GSS deal flows, providing valuable insights and timely updates that inform senior management and support strategic decision-making.
You May be a Good Fit if you have:
- 3 years’ or above relevant experience with ESG products or sustainable finance within marketing or relationship management in debt capital markets or banking/financial services sectors for the Senior Market Research Associate position, or a minimum of 6 years for the Associate Director role.
- Experience in handling business relationship with banks, non-bank financial institutions, insurance companies and other relevant issuers.
- Proven track record in developing new business and growing revenue streams for new products.
- Possess effective presentation and negotiation skills, with exposure to Bloomberg, Wind or other ESG platforms.
- Ability to effectively communicate with senior management and market participants on ESG, sustainable finance and other important industry issues.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential

- An energetic self-starter and team player who is capable and articulate with good interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally across the region.
- Proficiency in an additional APAC language is advantageous.
