Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Delivery Practice Owner, based out of our Toronto, Canada office.

 

About the Team:

 The Delivery Owner is a squad-facing role within the Delivery Management track of Technology & Data Delivery Enablement, ensuring predictable delivery for an Agile squad(s). This role enables end-to-end delivery, ensuring predictable execution, proactive dependency management, and continuous evolution of ways of working. While evolving beyond traditional Scrum Master responsibilities, this role remains deeply rooted in Agile values with coaching at its core.

This position operates within a culture of agility, accountability, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement. It ensures delivery among an Agile squad(s) and drives the integration of AI-enabled practices into the delivery process . Accountable for squad delivery metrics, predictability, and throughput.

The Delivery Owner implements AI-enabled practices to improve squad delivery predictability and provides concise, decision-ready communication to stakeholders. This role partners with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Delivery Leads, Tribe Leads and squad members while driving a culture where commitments are met, delivery is predictable, and continuous improvement is embedded in daily work.

As a key practitioner, this role has the opportunity to make contributions to Communities of Practice, to help establish delivery standards.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact:

End-to-End Squad Delivery

  • Ensure the definition of ready/done and release criteria are consistently applied.
  • Maintain squad-level accountability, modeling best practices within your assigned squad(s).
  • Ensure squads meet delivery commitments, drive predictability, throughput, and quality metrics.
  • Create transparency in delivery health; provide honest assessments and escalate risks with options and solutions.

AI Enablement and Modern Practices

  • Implement AI-enabled practices including AI-assisted planning, automated status updates, and intelligent dependency mapping.
  • Evolve ways of working by experimenting with modern delivery practices and AI tools.
  • Champion AI literacy and responsible AI use within delivery management.
  • Share learnings with peers and contribute to delivery practice evolution.

Operating Model and Enablement

  • Enable squad-level delivery rituals, escalation protocols, and forums rooted in Agile principles.
  • Keep roadmaps, backlogs, capacity plans, and forecasts synchronized and actionable.
  • Lead retrospectives that identify systemic improvements; drive cross-squad improvement initiatives.
  • Model accountability by owning delivery outcomes and transparently communicating status and risks.

Continuous Improvement and Evolution

  • Coach squad members on flow, predictability, and metrics; leverage modern practices to accelerate delivery.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.

Community Engagement

  • Participate in the Agile Delivery Center of Excellence and Communities of Practice.
  • Share innovations and lessons learned with peers.
  • Contribute to delivery standards and playbook development.

 

You May Be a Good Fit If:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • You have 3–5 years in Agile delivery, including experience as a Delivery Owner or Scrum Master, with a proven track record delivering initiatives with measurable outcomes.
  •  You maintain Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
  • You demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience collaborating across squads and functions.
  • You are proficient with delivery tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

 

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or other advanced Agile certifications (e.g., SAFe, Kanban).
  • Experience with Kanban, flow metrics, DevOps practices, or AI-enabled delivery tools.
  • Experience in financial services or regulated industries.

For Toronto roles only: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 CAD and $130,000 CAD per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
