Associate Director – Corporate, Infrastructure and Project finance – Colombia
The Latin American Corporates and Infrastructure team is currently seeking an Associate Director based out of our Bogotá office.

We’ll Count on You To:
- Lead and monitor new and existing corporate and project finance ratings, acting as a Primary or Secondary Analyst in accordance with Fitch’s criteria and processes.
- Conduct in-depth credit analysis of issuers and transactions, including financial, qualitative and legal information, with particular focus on energy-sector and project finance-related credits.
- Conduct issuer, sector and market research, including macroeconomic and microeconomic and peer analysis, to support rating decisions.
- Produce rating reports, committee materials, market commentary and special research for publication
- Participate actively in rating committees, providing independent and well supported credit views.
- Build and maintain active relationships with issuers, project sponsors, investment bankers, financial advisers and other relevant market participants.
What You Need to Have:
- A minimum of five years of solid, relevant credit experience, ideally gained at a credit rating agency, bank or investment bank, consulting or accounting firm, credit-research organization, buy-side credit team, or structuring and advisory firm.
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting or another business-related discipline.
- Experience in project finance and/or corporate credit analysis or the energy sector is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze corporates in depth for the purpose of assigning credit ratings, with a strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative corporate risk.
- Financial-modelling capability and familiarity with spreadsheet-based financial models.
- Solid writing and verbal communication skills in Spanish AND English.
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- Portuguese language skills.
- CFA candidate at any level; or CFA charter holder.
- Ability to read and fully comprehend complex structures and to ask probing questions to issuers and their advisers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and display a strong degree of flexibility to take on additional responsibilities, as required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
