Director, Account Manager - Frankfurt

Fitch Solutions is seeking a Director, Account Management to lead coverage of sell-side institutions (including aligned buy-side clients) across the DACH region, with a particular focus on driving growth in Austria. The role is based in Frankfurt.
This is a senior commercial role with responsibility for developing and expanding strategic client relationships across key financial institutions in the region. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth across an existing book of business while identifying new opportunities to deepen client engagement and broaden product usage. The role will involve working closely with clients on their workflows, commercial priorities, and strategic needs across the DACH market.
The role includes promoting the full breadth of Fitch Solutions capabilities, including Fitch Credit Ratings, Credit Research, Fundamental Financial Data & Analytics, Country Risk, Industry Research & Geopolitical Risk from BMI, ESG solutions from Sustainable Fitch, and CreditSights offerings including credit market research, covenant analysis, and leveraged finance news.
- This is a Director-level, individual contributor sales role with significant visibility and strong career development potential.
- It is a direct sales role with revenue targets and a compensation structure that includes base salary plus commission.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Take ownership of a DACH client portfolio, with a particular focus on growing existing relationships in Austria and expanding strategic coverage across the region
- Build and execute a clear territory plan to drive above-market growth, retention, and predictable revenue performance
- Identify and convert cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the Fitch Solutions product suite
- Develop senior-level client relationships and position yourself as a trusted commercial partner by understanding client workflows, business priorities, and market dynamics
- Deliver against revenue targets through disciplined pipeline management, strong forecasting, and consistent commercial execution
- Represent Fitch Solutions credibly across the territory, with the ability to engage at both user and senior decision-maker level
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across product, research, specialists, and client services to support client needs and unlock broader commercial opportunities
- Help strengthen Fitch Solutions’ presence in DACH by negotiating effectively and driving long-term, high-value relationships across the territory
You May Be a Good Fit If
- You are a self-starter who can build momentum quickly and operate with a high degree of ownership and independence
- You have a strong track record of managing client relationships, developing business, and growing revenue in financial markets
- You bring sales experience in credit, risk, fixed income, data, research, or related financial workflows
- You have an established network across the DACH market, including strong relationships in Austria
- You are commercially sharp, credible with senior stakeholders, and confident in negotiating and articulating value
- You are highly proactive, resilient, and comfortable operating in a performance-driven environment
- You are fluent in English and German, with the ability to confidently lead client interactions, negotiations, product demonstrations, and commercial discussions in both languages.

- Strong knowledge of credit risk, investment workflows, and market participants across DACH
- A strong understanding of regulatory or risk-related workflows where ratings, research, and analytical tools play a role
