Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a EMEA Corporates & Infrastructure - Energy, Natural Resources & Infrastructure, Senior Director out of our London office.
Fitch Ratings’ EMEA Energy, Natural Resources & Infrastructure team is seeking a Senior Director to lead the Transport team in London. The role will report to the Head of Energy, Natural Resources & Infrastructure team within EMEA Corporates & Infrastructure Group. This is a senior analytical and leadership role within Fitch Ratings responsible for leading analytical coverage, sector research and market engagement in a growing sector. The role entails managing a team of 8 analysts covering transport issuers across infrastructure and project finance and corporates.
Fitch Ratings’ EMEA Corporates & Infrastructure Group provides public and private ratings of companies and their debt instruments as well as project finance and infrastructure transaction ratings in Europe, Middle East and Africa. The department employs a team of over 100 credit analysts. In addition to London, Fitch’s largest office, the department has analysts on the ground in Frankfurt, Paris, Warsaw, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Stockholm and Dubai.
The EMEA Energy, Natural Resources & Infrastructure team covers over 200 public & private ratings across energy (oil and gas), metals and mining, chemicals, energy project finance and infrastructure as well as transport (project finance/infrastructure and corporates). The team’s analysts are based in London, Frankfurt, Barcelona, Madrid, Warsaw, Milan and Dubai.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Have direct managerial responsibility for a team of 8 analysts;
- Lead ratings analysis, execution and research on new and existing transactions in Transport in project finance/ infrastructure and corporates
- Provide credit leadership in ratings process, ensuring consistent application of Fitch’s criteria;
- Chair or lead rating committee discussions and provide senior judgment on credit analysis;
- Oversee development of rating rationales, research publications, sector outlooks, and market commentary;
- Represent Fitch externally in meetings with issuers, sponsors, banks, investors, advisors, and other market participants;
- Lead, mentor, and develop analysts within the transport corporate and project finance team;
- Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing work environment;
- Champion analytical excellence and operational efficiency by adopting best practices and leveraging new technologies.
You May be a Good Fit if You Have:
- 12+ years of relevant experience in credit analysis role in corporates and/or project finance/infrastructure;
- Experience managing people and teams;
- A healthy sense of intellectual curiosity and a life-long learning mindset;
- Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Bachelor’s degree required; CFA, MBA, or other advanced qualification preferred.
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- Extensive experience in project finance, infrastructure finance and/or extensive expertise in corporate credit analysis and forecasting;
- Deep understanding of project finance structures, financing documentation, contractual arrangements, and risk allocation frameworks;
- Strong ability to read and fully comprehend complex structures;
- Strong knowledge of the transport sectors, including airports, ports, toll roads, airlines, shipping and logistics;
- Excellent modelling skills and thorough familiarity with spreadsheet-based financial models;
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and mentoring analysts.
