Market Research Associate – Structured Finance & Covered Bonds (SF & CVB) BRM – London

Fitch Ratings’ Business Relationship Management (BRM) team is seeking a Market Research Associate to join its Structured Finance & Covered Bonds (SF & CVB) BRM team in London.

The SF & CVB BRM team leads business development and marketing activity for Fitch Ratings’ Structured Finance and Covered Bonds franchise across the EMEA region. The team supports the growth of the portfolio through market intelligence, commercial strategy and engagement with issuers, arrangers and investors.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with data, solving data-related problems, identifying market trends, and turning analysis into clear, effective presentations. It is a strong opportunity for a candidate looking to develop a career in business development, market analysis, relationship management, or strategic marketing within financial services.

We’ll Count on You To

 

Support the EMEA SF & CVB BRM Team

  • Provide day-to-day business and marketing support.
  • Prepare engagement letters via the Contract Lifecycle Management system.
  • Organise meetings and track follow-up actions.
  • Maintain internal contact databases.
  • Support monthly reporting, KPI tracking, and pipeline monitoring.
  • Liaise with teams such as Accounts and Legal to resolve billing queries and update documentation.
  • Collaborate on global projects and assist with events where required.

Market Research, Data Mining & Analysis

  • Gather, organise, and analyse market data from internal and external sources.
  • Research issuance activity, market trends, competitors, and opportunities across Structured Finance and Covered Bonds.
  • Maintain market share and transaction tracking.
  • Identify trends and insights from large datasets.
  • Improve data quality and reporting tools to support planning and decision-making.
  • Produce analysis to help position Fitch with issuers, arrangers, and investors.

Presentation & Marketing Materials

  • Prepare pitch books, market updates, market share slides, and other marketing materials.
  • Turn data and analysis into clear, effective presentations.
  • Tailor materials for issuers, arrangers, investors, and internal stakeholders.

Financial Reporting & Management Information

  • Support management of the EMEA Structured Finance and Covered Bonds pipeline.
  • Produce regular management reporting for the region.
  • Assist with data reconciliation and reporting accuracy.

 

What You Need to Have

  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Experience researching, manipulating, and reporting data.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience creating presentations in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Proactive approach with strong organisation and time management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced team environment.

 

What Would Make You Stand Out

  • Exposure to Structured Finance, Covered Bonds, securitisation, or capital markets.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, CreditSights, or similar research tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP, or other CRM/reporting systems.
  • Interest in using data to support commercial strategy and business development.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate analysis clearly.
  • Budgeting or financial reporting experience.
