Fitch Ratings’ Business Relationship Management (BRM) group is seeking a (Senior) Market Research Associate. This role will be based in Canary Wharf, London, at our joint global headquarters office.
The corporate BRM team is responsible for expanding Fitch’s rating coverage across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region by generating new issuer and debt rating mandates and developing the existing portfolio of corporate ratings.
This position will support the business development and marketing efforts of senior relationship managers by helping them leverage relationships with decision-makers at corporate entities, as well as intermediaries at investment banks, private equity sponsors and debt advisory firms.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Support senior team members in developing and executing frontline marketing plans to generate new rating mandates and advance existing relationship development plans
- Build knowledge of core business development data and create marketing materials, including pitchbooks, case studies, tombstones, pricing studies, corporate coverage slides and specialist technical content
- Develop in-depth knowledge of an industry sector to generate persuasive new marketing ideas
- Work with senior team members to research and identify new transaction-driven rating opportunities
- Use online platforms to monitor market activity and trends that support marketing messages
- Download and manage large datasets in Excel
- Keep marketing materials up to date
- Prioritise workflows and adapt to changing deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail
You May be a Good Fit if:
- A degree-level education; a finance or business-related subject would be advantageous
- Experience preparing marketing or business development materials using PowerPoint
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with demonstrable experience researching, analysing and interpreting large datasets
- Experience using client relationship management systems, such as Salesforce, and generating reports
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently, with supervision and guidance from senior team members
- Proficiency in foreign languages may be beneficial

- Financial industry experience gained through exposure to debt capital markets, banking, corporate finance or credit analysis
- Knowledge of online platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet and Dealogic
