BMI is currently seeking a Senior Pharmaceutical Industry Analyst based out of our Manchester office.

About the Team
- This role is an excellent development opportunity as it involves collaborative work internally across multiple geographic locations and teams, as well as involvement in client engagements.
- The BMI Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare & Medical Devices Analyst hub has high visibility and you will be responsible for informing senior decision makers in financial institutions, consultancies, government agencies and multinational corporations.
- The successful candidate will contribute to thought leadership in the pharmaceutical space.
- The role is part of a collaborative team of analysts, who have deep expertise in their areas of coverage.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- As a Senior Pharmaceuticals Industry Analyst, you will be responsible for generating views and forecasts which feed into our overall industry, regional and global strategy.
- Research, generate and update views on geographic markets and regions, presenting these via written analysis (daily, monthly and quarterly), pharmaceutical market forecasts up to 10 years, alongside both internal and external presentations.
- Constructively challenge and debate your colleagues’ views and have your views challenged and debated.
- Act as a mentor to help guide and manage teammates.
- Use your knowledge of macroeconomics, political risk and wider sector risk to support and strengthen your pharmaceutical sector views.
- Lead by example in terms of BMI' working culture; demonstrate proactivity, enthusiasm, professionalism, strong communication and excellent analytical standards; lead the way in terms of showing respect for colleagues and building strong working relationships.
You May be a Good Fit if:
- Prior relevant analyst experience required in life sciences, preferably pharmaceuticals or healthcare.
- Qualifications: MA/MSc/PhD in life sciences preferred; or, equivalent experience in pharmaceuticals and/or healthcare, commercial research and analysis.
- Extensive knowledge of Pharma or Healthcare market fundamentals, with specialisation in geographic regions or therapy areas beneficial.
- Demonstrable knowledge of / passion for economics and / or politics and their impact on the pharmaceutical industry.
- An excellent standard of written English as well as excellent verbal communication and numeracy.
- Experienced presenter / public speaker who can generate precise views and can adjust for a range of audiences
