Fitch Ratings is currently seeking an Analyst for coverage of the US Corporates Group based out of our Monterrey office.

We’ll Count on You To:

  • Perform data analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors influencing the US Corporates group, in support of existing ratings, new rating mandates and research.
  • Become an expert on the model used to derive credit opinion recommendations.
  • Take ownership of number of credits to which Fitch assigns a credit assessment.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial models.
  • Prepare internal reports tracking key operational trends to inform senior staff and empower them to make good strategic planning decisions within the department.
  • Occasionally collaborate with senior team members to publish research on US Corporates topics, for Fitch’s external audience which includes institutional investors, private equity sponsors, private debt funds, CLO managers, HY mutual fund managers and credit hedge funds.
  • Support Senior Analysts prepare presentations for internal credit rating committees;
  • Participate in the evaluation of other credits within US Corporates, as well as other related credit groups.

 

What You Need to Have:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced English proficiency (Bilingual).
  • (Leverage Finance) Demonstrate interest in Leveraged Finance/Private Credit.
  • Exposure to financial statement analysis in a work or classroom setting.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to shift fluidly between multiple projects as priorities change. 
  • Ability to excel in a team-oriented environment.
  • CFA/CPA or CFA candidate preferred.

  • Wants to deepen their exposure to and understanding of the debt capital markets.
  • Has exposure to financial statement analysis in a work or classroom setting.
  • Has solid interpersonal skills displayed by a strong pattern of leadership and the ability to interact with various stakeholders proactively and successfully across a variety of departments within the organization.
