About the Team

Fitch Ratings India Business Relationship Management (BRM) team covers issuers, sponsors and bankers based in India, Bangladesh & Nepal. The team works closely with the wider BRM team across Asia-Pacific. We are currently seeking an Associate Director to join our GIFT City office in Gandhinagar, Gujarat and support tactical marketing and business development initiatives that enhance Fitch’s brand visibility and strengthen its position as the rating agency of choice in India.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • The candidate will act as the Principal Officer of Fitch Ratings GIFT City office and shall be responsible for overall activities of the office in the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC).
  • The candidate will work closely with the India and Regional BRM team on day to day matters related to Business operations and origination aspects related to Fitch Ratings GIFT City office.
  • Responsible for coordinating all discussions related to Fitch Ratings GIFT City office with local stakeholders.
  • Keep the relevant BRM teams updated on new regulations and other matters related to developments in GIFT City.
  • Support in originating new rating mandates across Sovereign, Financial Institutions, Corporates, Structured Finance, International Public Finance and Infrastructure Finance sectors.
  • Identify rating gaps and new business opportunities and discuss a strategic outreach plan.
  • Work closely with internal/external counterparts (issuer, banker, analysts, etc.) to ensure smooth execution on new and existing rating exercises and provide timely support on documentation preparation.
  • Work with global revenue management team to lead and manage rating contract renewals in a timely manner.
  • Market ESG Ratings products of Sustainable Fitch.
  • Work closely with business/billing support team to conduct timely billing and manage accounts receivable.
  • Conduct market research and data analysis as needed to create pitch material and market share data. Track deal flows, new ratings and issuances.
  • Execute and/or support various outreach initiatives (conferences, seminars, one-on-one meetings, electronic delivery, analyst meetings etc.) to strengthen Fitch’s market visibility.
  • Organise Fitch-hosted and Fitch-sponsored events in India.

 

You May be a Good Fit if:

  • At least 7 to 10 years or above relevant Marketing or Relationship Management experience in Debt Capital Markets or banking/financial services sectors.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop and execute marketing plans.
  • Degree educated with specialization in business, finance and other relevant disciplines would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to Bloomberg, effective presentation and negotiation skills is advantageous.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
