Fitch Group is currently seeking an Associate Director, Events based out of our New York office.
We are seeking an event manager with a proven track record to quickly take charge of a dynamic portfolio of events. The Associate Director will be a key member of the Global Events team, responsible for planning and executing Fitch-hosted events, industry conferences, trade shows, and virtual events across the US.
Reporting to the Global Head of Events in New York, this role manages both Fitch-owned and third-party events, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure events are professionally delivered, well-promoted, and aligned with business strategy.

We’ll Count on You To:
- Lead End-to-End Event Management: Develop and execute high-impact in-person events, overseeing planning, logistics, budgeting, site selection, vendor management, contract negotiation, and on-site delivery to ensure exceptional attendee and business outcomes.
- Drive Business Alignment: Meet regularly with marketing teams and stakeholders to understand Fitch’s business strategies and objectives, ensuring all events support new business development, brand positioning, and market opportunities.
- Stakeholder Communication & Best Practices: Keep stakeholders informed on event best practices and industry trends, including pre- and post-event communications, measurement, and knowledge sharing to continuously improve results.
- Performance Measurement & Reporting: Produce post-event reports and analysis, gather feedback from stakeholders, and leverage data and industry trends to track event success, inform future strategies, and demonstrate business impact.
- Industry Awareness: Stay up to date on trends and best practices in in-person events, sharing relevant insights with the team.
What You Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience planning and executing in-person corporate events, including budget management and vendor negotiations.
- Proven experience in event management software (Splash, Cvent), Zoom and Microsoft Office.
- Experience managing event logistics, contract negotiations, and on-site event operations for events of 100+ attendees.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively anticipate needs, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver detailed, high-quality work; recognized for strategic thinking and strong project management skills.
- CMP is a plus.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 100,000- 115,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
