Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Senior Market Research Associate (SMRA) to join its Structured Finance Business Relationship Management (BRM) group based out of our New York office.
About the Team:
This role is based within the Business Relationship Management (BRM) group working with the U.S. Residential Mortgage-Backed Business team which focuses on building and maintaining relationships with issuers and bankers to expand our RMBS business. The role reports to the Senior Director responsible for U.S. RMBS Business and works closely with SF senior management and colleagues to achieve strategic goals.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Relationship Management: Support the RMBS business head in managing and developing relationships with issuers and bankers. Prepare business development reports and participate in external meetings and conferences. Contact external stakeholders, organize meetings and prepare materials
- Business Development: Screen new business opportunities and generate engagement agreements from Salesforce
- Data Management: Run pipeline and market share reports for strategic insights. Ability to analyze and evaluate data effectively for marketing purposes. Update and maintain data in the Salesforce CRM system as well as relevant market research
- Marketing and Materials: Research, develop, and prepare pitch books, presentations and marketing materials in collaboration with senior SF management, the Marketing Department, and other stakeholders as required
- Collaboration: Work with Marketing and Events teams on RMBS events and research distributions
You May be a Good Fit if:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, or Economics
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience, with knowledge of debt capital markets, RMBS or Structured Finance a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective relationship building
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills; experience using Salesforce is a plus
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail

FOR NEW YORK: Expected base pay rates for the role are between $85,000 and $95,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individual basis and may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related considerations. Base pay is one component of Fitch’s total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch, depending on the position.
