Fitch Technology is currently seeking a Business Analyst based out of our NYC office.

Aligned to Fitch’s analytical business, this position will open the doors into the world of Ratings as well as the processes that surround the execution, strategy and operations in this area. Further, the future employee will be challenged with decomposition of complex problems in a highly demanding and high paced environment.

We’ll Count on You To:

  • Collaborates with business partners within one or more business organizations to align technology solutions with business strategies.
  • Supports one or more highly complex business processes, requiring design or integration of technical solutions that may cross multiple functions of the business.
  • Partners with technical teams on story creation, backlog grooming, and other Scrum ceremonies.
  • Leads and/or assists with the analysis and documentation of complex process workflows, future-state conceptual system designs, user interfaces, impact analysis, data and process flows, use-cases, and other types of functional and technical documentation.
  • Understands technical complexities, relate to the team, actively participate in the sprint planning & estimation process, identify risks and propose solutions, and otherwise provide business/technical insights for all members of the working team and stakeholders.
  • Bring your whole self to your team and your colleagues everyday.

 

What You Need to Have:

  • 3-5 years of direct experience in business analysis and requirements management
  • Strong attention to detail, as well as excellent communications and organizational skills
  • Superb follow-through; propensity to approach tasks and goals with an ownership mentality
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to work well with teams & stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work in a high demand environment

 

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Exposure to Qlik and SQL
  • Experience working on projects involving Python
  • Experience with financial debt instruments and regulatory reporting
  • Agile frameworks knowledge and a working knowledge of Jira

FOR NEW YORK AND CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $120,000.   Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.  Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.

 

***This is a hybrid role, with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.
