Business Process Automation, Associate Director
About the Team
The Business Process Automation (BPA) Team is responsible for automating projects using a combination of RPA and Agentic AI. The team works with members of the Business to identify Use Cases that could be automated, and then Designs, Develops, Tests & Deploys Bots or Agents to provide an automated solution. The BPA Team primarily uses ‘UiPath’ to build our automated solutions, but also leverages Microsoft ‘Co-Pilot Studio’ as well as other automation toolkits that are available at Fitch.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Solution design and delivery:
- Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade automations using UiPath (Studio, Orchestrator, Test Manager) and complementary tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot Studio, Claude Code).
- Build Agentic automation solutions and reusable components that combine LLMs, APIs, and RPA for end-to-end process orchestration.
- Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, observable, and scalable, following best practices for design patterns, error handling, logging, testing, and documentation.
- Lead discovery and process assessment sessions to identify automation opportunities, define solution approach, and estimate benefits.
- Governance and CoE leadership:
- Help define and operationalize the Agentic CoE, including standards, guardrails, documentation, training materials, and performance metrics.
- Establish and enforce development lifecycle governance across intake, prioritization, design reviews, testing, deployment, and change management.
- Understand how new AI technologies (i.e. Claude Code) could disrupt workflows. Continually explore these new tool sets, see how they can be implemented, and what governance / guardrails need to be established for them.
- Contribute to platform roadmaps, reference architectures, reusable libraries, and best practices for RPA and Agentic solutions.
- Partner with InfoSec, Risk, and IT to align automations with security, compliance, privacy, model risk management, and data governance requirements.
- People Management & Enablement:
- Guide and mentor Citizen Developers, including office hours, code reviews, training, and troubleshooting assistance; uplift community capabilities while maintaining quality and compliance.
- Improve the current Citizen Developer training program to make it scalable; help define and grow a ‘light’ alternative of the Citizen Developer program which would have a larger scale.
- Opportunity to build and lead a group of automation developers including coaching, performance management, and career development.
- In addition, coordinate cross-functional delivery with business stakeholders, product owners, analysts, and operations teams; communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership.
- Operations and continuous improvement:
- Own operational excellence for automations: monitoring, incident response, SLA management, versioning, and ongoing optimization.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code (where applicable) for automation pipelines.
- Track KPIs such as adoption, ROI, cycle time, reliability, and user satisfaction; drive continuous improvement based on insights.
