Business Relationship Management – US Investor Development Team, Senior Director
The Fitch Ratings Investor Development Team (IDT) is currently seeking a Senior Director based out of our New York or Chicago office.

The Investor Development Team (IDT) at Fitch is focused on promoting Fitch’s coverage, brand, and credit expertise to influential market constituents, to foster investor engagement with Fitch Ratings, research, products, and services, secure investor support for Fitch ratings and entrench Fitch’s research and products in market workflows. The Relationship Manager plays a crucial role in leading outreach and visibility efforts, with a particular focus on corporate and project finance, covering key US institutional investors and industry-specific sectors.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Maintain, develop and deepen relationships with key fixed income stakeholders (credit analysts, portfolio managers, heads of research) within your portfolio of top US institutional investment firms.
- In a rapidly changing market, proactively identify new strategic relationship opportunities; initiate and develop regular dialogue.
- Develop, lead and execute outreach and visibility efforts, promoting Fitch’s unique credit perspectives through continuous dialogue, virtual and in-person meetings, events, and ratings content curation.
- Prepare and present marketing messages to external parties, highlighting factors which differentiate Fitch and its published ratings and research from competitors.
- Stay abreast of top market topics; solicit and analyze investor feedback to provide insights into new market-useful topics, credit ratings, and products.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance investor engagement and promote Fitch’s research and ratings.
- Maintain consistent records of engagement in CRM for internal reporting, and analysis.
- Facilitate demand for Fitch Ratings and, in conjunction with Fitch’s separate sales team, demand for Fitch research and related products.
- Role involves some travel in the US for roadshows and events.
You May be a Good Fit if You Have:
10-15 years of experience in debt capital markets, bond research, client relationship development, account management, or sales
Existing relationships with US institutional fixed income investors
Strong understanding of fixed income investment strategies, fixed income credit and debt capital market dynamics
Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills, ability to proactively engage with external clients
Excellent written communication skills and ability to create strategic messaging
Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM databases
Proficiency with SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to travel for in-person industry events and meetings

Existing relationships with US institutional fixed income investors
Knowledge of private placements, middle market corporates, leveraged finance or project finance in addition to traditional corporates
Demonstrable experience building and maintaining long-term client relationships

For New York and Chicago Only: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $160,000 and $215,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
