We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious leader for Head of Sales, Fitch Ratings Research & Data. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the sales of Fitch Ratings Research & Data services, including fundamental data & analytics, overseeing the development and execution of sales strategies and leading a team of dedicated sales specialists to achieve and exceed targets. This strategic role requires an individual who can foster a sense of unity and team collaboration across various reporting structures. The Head of Sales, Fitch Ratings Research & Data reports directly to the Commercial organization of FS (Fitch Solutions) and will work closely with the Fitch Ratings Research & Data Management Team and Account Management & Customer Success to achieve commercial success.
We’ll Count on You to:

Lead the sales effort for Fitch Ratings Research & Data products and services, with sales and revenue responsibility globally.

Provide inspirational leadership to a team of Fitch Ratings Research & Data sales specialists, encouraging a culture of peak performance, continuous development, and dedication to excellence.

Coordinate and implement effective sales strategies in partnership with the Fitch Ratings Research & Data Management Team – aimed at achieving and surpassing sales targets for the Fitch Ratings Research & Data product lines.

Leverage partnerships as a key channel to drive growth of Ratings Data, and help to identify new partnership channels in collaboration with Market Development and Product Strategy

Collaborate with account managers to execute the Fitch Ratings Research & Data sales strategy across territories, ensuring alignment of goals.

Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across various sectors to understand their business needs and identify new sales opportunities.

Communicate the unique value of Fitch Ratings Research & Data in presentations and proposals to potential clients, articulating the value proposition.

Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to the executive team, offering insights into sales activities and market trends.

Negotiate and close high-value contracts with enterprise-level clients, ensuring profitable and sustainable business deals.

Institute structure and guidance to the team as it relates to best sales practices including adoption of CRM (Customer Relationship Management Systems) tools to optimize sales efficiency and data-driven decision making.

Collaborate with the Product Development, Market Development and Marketing teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with product offerings and market positioning.

Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to adjust sales strategies and capitalize on market opportunities.
What you need to have:

Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, particularly in the business intelligence space.

Strong leadership skills with experience in hiring, training, mentoring and motivating high-performing sales teams.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable sales strategies.

Deep understanding of the market intelligence industry and its products and services.

Ability to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $250,000 and $325,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
