Fitch Solutions is currently seeking a Head of AI Products based out of our New York/Chicago/London office.

Its analysts, lawyers, journalists and economists offer in-depth views on credit markets/risk and individual credits, ESG, developed and emerging markets, and industry sectors. By becoming a part of the Fitch Solutions team, you will join a group of colleagues delivering critical data, insightful research, and comprehensive analytics that empower clients to make informed decisions. You'll work in a dynamic environment where innovation is encouraged, and collaboration is key to developing solutions that address the evolving needs of global markets. With a portfolio of best-in-class, award winning brands, we offer you the opportunity to advance your career while contributing to a company known for its expertise and commitment to excellence.

About the Team

This role sits at the intersection of applied AI, product strategy and financial markets knowledge. It is not a research role and it is not a pure engineering management role. The successful candidate will have hands-on familiarity with the current generation of language model and search technologies, and a clear-eyed view of where they create durable commercial value versus where they introduce risk.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Own the AI product strategy for Fitch Solutions, defining where AI creates measurable value in content processing, search, delivery and analyst workflow
  • Lead the design and delivery of semantic and vector search capabilities that make the unified content estate discoverable across BUs and delivery channels
  • Define the approach to entity extraction, document classification and content enrichment using natural language processing and large language model techniques
  • Establish governance standards for AI-generated or AI-assisted content, including accuracy, auditability and model risk management appropriate to a regulated financial data environment
  • Partner with the Head of Data Products to ensure AI capabilities are built on a well-structured, consistently tagged content layer
  • Evaluate, select and manage relationships with AI infrastructure and model providers, making build versus buy decisions with a long-term commercial lens
  • Own the model operations and lifecycle framework, ensuring models in production are monitored, evaluated and updated systematically
  • Represent AI capabilities to commercial and client-facing teams, translating technical capability into product propositions that resonate in financial markets

You May be a Good Fit if:

  • Applied experience delivering natural language processing, semantic search or large language model-based products in a production environment; not solely in research or proof-of-concept settings
  • Working knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation architectures, vector databases and embedding models, alongside a realistic view of their limitations
  • Experience managing model risk in a regulated or compliance-sensitive environment; financial services, legal technology or healthcare data preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to translate AI capability into product propositions with clear commercial logic, not technology for its own sake
  • Track record of leading cross-functional teams through the ambiguity of early-stage AI product development

What Would Make You Stand Out:

  • Familiarity with financial markets content including credit research, sovereign risk and macroeconomic data, and the precision requirements this imposes on AI-generated output
  • Experience with MCP or API-first product delivery models
  • Prior exposure to knowledge graph or structured ontology integration with language models
