Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Senior Administrator based out of our New York office to support the Structured Finance – Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) Group. We are looking for a proactive, team-oriented and detail-focused administrator who brings an energetic, organized approach to our growing and successful analytical team. In this role, you will serve as the central administrative backbone of the ABS Group, primarily supporting the Managing Director and Senior Directors while also partnering closely with analysts and team members across all sectors. You will work hand-in-hand with sector leaders to understand each team's unique priorities, workflows, and upcoming demands. We are looking for act as a trusted operational partner who connects the dots across the group.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Calendar & Travel Coordination: Proactively manage calendars for senior ABS team leaders, schedule rating committee meetings, originator and servicer review sessions, and investor calls. Arrange domestic and international travel logistics for on-site originator/servicer visits, which typically occur every 12 to 18 months per issuer.
  • Provide Comprehensive Administrative Support: Handle expense reports, internal communications, onboarding logistics for new team members, and day-to-day administrative needs with a "nothing is too small" attitude. Maintain and update the team's FX pages with current criteria, published reports, and internal resources.
  • Sector Leader Partnership & Support: Proactively schedule regular check-ins with sector leaders across the ABS sub-sectors to develop a deep understanding of each sector's unique priorities and needs. Use these conversations to tailor administrative support and identify recurring pain points. Develop sector-specific solutions that address each team's distinct goals and rhythms, serving as a true operational partner.
  • Coordinate Originator & Servicer Review Logistics: Support the scheduling and preparation of originator and servicer review meetings, including coordinating agendas, compiling background materials, and ensuring timely follow-up on action items.
  • Pipeline & Rating Activity Tracking: Collect and help track pipeline and rating activity reports across the ABS Group, maintaining organized logs of upcoming new issuances. Develop creative dashboards, visual summaries, or reporting tools that give the team an at-a-glance view of deal flow, rating actions, and key performance trends.
  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Projects: Independently manage administrative projects that may require input from multiple stakeholders—such as criteria update rollouts, team training sessions, or conference participation—ensuring timely completion at exceptional standards without constant supervision.
  • Take Initiative & Solve Problems: Demonstrate independence and creativity by proactively resolving scheduling conflicts, anticipating team needs, and continuously seeking more efficient ways to support the group's workflow.
  • Assist with Team Events & Culture Building: Step into office social events and team-building responsibilities as needed, bringing organization, collaboration, and energy to the workspace.

 

 

You May be a Good Fit if You Have:

  • College degree, graduate of a recognized secretarial school, or relevant work experience.  
  • Developed expertise in the field, with five or more years administrative experience. 
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interface at all levels of the organization. 
  • Thorough knowledge of business English, grammar, spelling, and punctuation 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with supervising personnel, coworkers, and business professionals. 
  • This role requires you to be in the office 3 days a week.
  • Flexibility and capability to multitask and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills paired with a keen eye for detail.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $70,000 and $85,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.  Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
